Just yesterday I finished my internship at the Santa Maria Manyanet school in Blanes in the P3 class. I have to say it has been an amazing and beautiful few weeks, where I have felt very happy and learned a lot. I am fascinated by the tenderness that children show, and the gratitude that comes to you from them; it is the best medicine for any discomfort.

Being able to share a few weeks with the kids has made me feel immersed in their routines and their day to day; it was like being on another wave, another different space from my routine life.

Focusing on ICT, in the classroom there was an interactive digital whiteboard (IDW), which was the protagonist at all times; from the time the students entered through the door until they left. To make the "good morning", the days of the week, the weather, the alphabet, and so on. they used it as a resource.

They also made use of “genially” software that allows you to create animated and interactive presentations online. This support was used in all school courses, focusing on it as part of their learning methodology.

Notably, one of the interactive games we played in the classroom. It consisted of relating images to numbers. In the pictures came 2, 3, 4 ... boys and girls, and the students had to count how many people appeared in the picture and drag it to the corresponding number that appeared on the screen. Below is a representation:

Plus, we did an interactive number “memory”! Which, together, we managed to do it quickly.

Playing "memory" has multiple benefits such as:

- Train visual memory

- Improves concentration

- Exercise the brain in a healthy way

- Enhances cognitive skills

In English, they use the IDW to project interactive stories. In this way, children are more attentive because being able to see moving images facilitates concentration and comprehension.

We are not really aware of the important role that ICTs play in classrooms. Until you experience it and are present, don't stop to think about it.

Students learn in a more attractive and enjoyable way, their interest is enhanced and dynamism is facilitated. They also allow us to continue the experience that has been lived in the classroom; in daily life.
